Raindrops keep fallin' on my head And just like the guy whose feet are too big for his bed Nothin' seems to fit Those raindrops are fallin' on my head, they keep fallin'
So I just did me some talkin' to the sun And I said I didn't like the way he got things done Sleepin' on the job Those raindrops are fallin' on my head, they keep fallin' But there's one thing I know The blues they send to meet me won't defeat me It won't be long till happiness steps up to greet me
Raindrops keep fallin' on my head But that doesn't mean my eyes will soon be turnin' red Cryin's not for me 'Cause I'm never gonna stop the rain by complainin' Because I'm free Nothin's worryin' me
It won't be long till happiness steps up to greet me
Raindrops keep fallin' on my head But that doesn't mean my eyes will soon be turnin' red Cryin's not for me 'Cause I'm never gonna stop the rain by complainin' Because I'm free Nothin's worryin' me
Sung by BJ Thomas this famous song is featured in the movie Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid a cult western movie. Thomas was getting over laryngitis when he recorded this. It gave the song a raspy quality that the producers of the movie liked and went on to win the Oscar in 1970. Songwriter Bacharach also won for Best Score. The song clip features Paul Newman aka Butch Cassidy having fun with Etta Place(Katherine Ross) who is actually Sundance Kid’s (Robert Redford) girlfriend.
This Valentine's day, here's something for all the non-believers and for the fun people. According to McCartney, "'Drive my car' was an old blues euphemism for sex" The song was intended to be about a difficult girl who is into materialistic things, but ended up being a quirky love song. Enjoy!
Asked a girl what she wanted to be She said baby, can't you see I wanna be famous, a star on the screen But you can do something in between
Baby you can drive my car Yes I'm gonna be a star Baby you can drive my car And maybe I'll love you
I told that girl that my prospects were good And she said baby, it's understood Working for peanuts is all very fine But I can show you a better time
Baby you can drive my car Yes I'm gonna be a star Baby you can drive my car And maybe I'll love you Beep beep'm beep beep yeah
Baby you can drive my car Yes I'm gonna be a star Baby you can drive my car And maybe I'll love you
I told that girl I can start right away When she said listen babe I got something to say I got no car and it's breaking my heart But I found a driver and that's a start
Baby you can drive my car Yes I'm gonna be a star Baby you can drive my car And maybe I'll love you
Ben E King recorded 'Stand by me' in 1960 inspired by a gospel number. Later it was used in the Levi ad in 1987 and even by Muhammed Ali. This clip features both the original song and parts of the coming-of-age movie "Stand by me" starring *River Phoenix(the boy with the guitar), the older brother of Joaquin Phoenix of Galdiator fame! River died of a drug overdose at age 23 just when his career was zooming!
When the night has come And the land is dark And the moon is the only light we'll see No I won't be afraid, no I won't be afraid Just as long as you stand, stand by mel
So darlin', darlin', stand by me, oh stand by me oh stand, stand by me, stand by me
If the sky that we look upon Should tumble and fall Or the mountains should crumble to the sea I won't cry, I won't cry, no I won't shed a tear Just as long as you stand, stand by me
And darlin', darlin', stand by me, oh stand by me Oh stand now, stand by me, stand by me
Darlin', darlin', stand by me-e, stand by me Oh stand by me, stand by me, stand by me
Whenever you're in trouble just stand by me, oh now now stand by me Oh stand by me, stand by me, stand by me
* River Phoenix was a vegan from the age of 7 and campaigned for PETA and won their humanitarian of the year award in 1990. He also supported various environmental charities and bought up 800 acres of endangered rainforest in Costa Rica. Phoenix also denounced the use of all animal by-products and refused to wear leather or fur in any of his films or television work throughout his career. His brother Joaquin follows this Phoenix family tradition of boycotting all animal products in his film work.
ABBA sings this number from their Super Trouper album and each new year it comes back with a bang! A happy 2008 to all of you from me! :)
No more champagne And the fireworks are through Here we are, me and you Feeling lost and feeling blue It's the end of the party And the morning seems so grey So unlike yesterday Now's the time for us to say...
Happy new year Happy new year May we all have a vision now and then Of a world where every neighbour is a friend Happy new year Happy new year May we all have our hopes, our will to try If we don't we might as well lay down and die You and I
Sometimes I see How the brave new world arrives And I see how it thrives In the ashes of our lives Oh yes, man is a fool And he thinks he'll be okay Dragging on, feet of clay Never knowing he's astray Keeps on going anyway...
Happy new year Happy new year May we all have a vision now and then Of a world where every neighbour is a friend Happy new year Happy new year May we all have our hopes, our will to try If we don't we might as well lay down and die You and I
Seems to me now That the dreams we had before Are all dead, nothing more Than confetti on the floor It's the end of a decade In another ten years time Who can say what we'll find What lies waiting down the line In the end of eighty-nine...
Happy new year Happy new year May we all have a vision now and then Of a world where every neighbour is a friend Happy new year Happy new year May we all have our hopes, our will to try If we don't we might as well lay down and die You and I

"What can you say about a twenty-five year old girl who died? That she was beautiful and brilliant. That she loved Mozart and Bach. The Beatles. And me."
Where do I begin To tell the story of how great a love can be; The sweet love story that is older than the sea, The simple truth about
The love she brings to me? Where do I start?
With her first hello, She gave new meaning to this empty world of mine, There'll never be another love, another time, She came into my life and made the living fine, She fills my heart,
She fills my heart with very special things, With angels' songs, with wild imaginings, She fills my soul with so much love, That anywhere I go I'm never lonely; With her along, who could be lonely? I reach for her hand -- it's always there...
How long does it last? Can love be measured by the hours in a day? I have no answers now but this much I can say: I know I'll need her till the stars all burn away, And she'll be there.
Love Story starred Ali MacGraw and Ryan O'Neal in the film version of Eric Segal's novel. The tear-jerker romance of a mousy girl and a preppie captured the imagination of the seventies! Andy Williams recorded this song with the movie's instrumental theme that still screams LOVE even today!
A ballad by George Michael with minimal music and his smooth melting voice...need I say more?
You Are Far When I could have been your star You listened to people Who scared you to death, and from my heart Strange that you were strong enough To even make a start But you'll never find Peace of mind, Till you listen to your heart
People You can never change the way they feel Better let them do just what they will For they will If you let them Steal your heart from you People Will always make a lover feel a fool But you knew I loved you We could have shown them all We should have seen love through
Fooled me with the tears in your eyes Covered me with kisses and lies So bye-aye-aye But please don't take my heart
You are far I'm never gonna be your star I'll pick up the pieces And mend my heart Maybe I'll be strong enough I don't know where to start But I'll never find Peace of mind While I listen to my heart
People You can never change the way they feel Better let them do just what they will, For they will If you let them Steal your heart
And people Will always make a lover feel a fool But you knew I loved you We could have shown them all
But remember this Every other kiss That you ever give Long as we both live When you need the hand of another man One you really can surrender with I will wait for you Like I always do There's something there That can't compare with any other
You are far When I could have been your star You listened to people Who scared you to death, and from my heart Strange that i was wrong enough To think you'd love me too I guess you were kissing a fool You must have been kissing a fool
